Mackay Monolith

I was told today that the Mackay boundary monolith on Drum Holliston is in the wrong place. It should be somewhere between Isauld and Forss?

Why was it placed in Sutherland when the true boundary is in Caithness? Is it a mistake or a Clan Gunn conspiracy to reincorperate Reay? :lol:

And did the person who vandalised it earlier this year knew this and was trying to make something of the mistake?

Yes, you are right about were it should be placed.Reay was/is Mackay country.People who broke it are idiots,but i dont think they would have a clue about its historical context.Maybe they will tell us otherwise on here!
