WHere is this road

I was out cycling today Thurso via halkirk to Thurso however on the way on the left just after Glengolly i think i seen a sign post that said path or road to Thurso a mud track, not 100% sure as it just caught the corner of my eye anyone confirm this?

I've seen that sign too while cycling past. Think it is a footpath of some sort.
