Denies harrassing woman in public

A WICK man is to stand trial on charges of harassing a woman at her work place and in public.
Kevin Shearer appeared from custody and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
These allege that, between September 1 and 24, he repeatedly attended at her work place in Wick, and attempted to communicate with her, shouted and swore at her in the town’s High Street, on September 18, where he is also accused of shouting and swearing at her, and in the same street, on September 24, behaved in a disorderly manner and made comments of a sexual nature to her and assaulted her by spitting in her face.
Shearer (48) of West Banks Terrace, Wick, was granted conditional bail and will return to court for his trial on December 7.

Accused of indecent act

A WICK teenager is alleged to have exposed himself at the window of his home. Brett Webster appeared from custody and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
It alleges that Brett Webster (17) committed an act of indecency by standing naked on the window sill, of his home in Kennedy Terrace, on Friday, in view of members of the public, including an eight-year-old child.
His trial was fixed for December 7.

Death threat denied

A SCRABSTER woman is facing charges of disorderly and threatening behaviour.
Natalie Maclaren, appeared from custody and pleaded not guilty. The charges alleges that the 18-year-old shouted and swore at Brendon Stevens, at his home in St Clair Avenue, Scrabster, on Saturday, and made a racially-aggravated comment to him, and threatened to kill him, in a police car.
Maclaren, of Marr Terrace, Thurso, will stand trial on December 6.

Double miss of curfew check alleged

BRENDON STEVENS has been accused of missing a police curfew check, twice in the same day.
He denied the charges and had trial fixed for December
The charge alleges he breached the bail condition, on Saturday. Stevens (17) of St Clair Avenue, Scrabster, will return to court for his trial on December 7.
