One cyclist dead-another seriously injured
POLICE can confirm one person has died and another has been seriously injured following a collision involving a car and two cyclists on the A99 at Auckergill, Caithness.
A female cyclist died at the scene and a male cyclist has been taken to Caithness General Hospital with serious injuries. The female driver of the car has also been taken to hospital as a precaution, but is not believed to be seriously injured.
Officers from the Force's Roads Policing Unit are now in attendance and will be carrying out a full road collision investigation into the circumstances. The road is expected to be closed for some time.
