It was two wins out of three for the Caithness sides this weekend as Wick Academy finally won in the Highland league beating Fort William 1-0 at Harmsworth Park, also climbing off the foot of the table.

In The MSIS North Caledonian League, Thurso hammered Dornoch 8-2 at The Dammies with Mark Nicholl taking his season's total to a massive 29 with five goals, fellow strike partner Alan Murray taking his total to 18 with two and Phil Makhouli taking his total to 10 with a single.

Meanwhile Halkirk United continued their slump from the good start they made by losing 1-0 away at Bonar Bridge.
