Beach discovered is linked to missing man
A BONE found on Thurso beach is believed to belong to Thurso man Michael Sinclair who went missing in April, last year.
A full-scale investigation was launched than, after Mr Sinclair (45) disappeared from his home in Castlegreen Road, Thurso, but no trace of him was found.
As part of their inquiries further searches were carried out into the discovery of the bone by a member of the public, on Thurso East beach, some weeks ago, and police now believe that it belongs to Mr Sinclair.
His parents and former partner, who both took part in pro-active media appeals at the time he went missing, have been informed.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
