Looks like the UK is trying to duplicate the USA. There are plenty of tax evaders out there to go after.

If you believe that you must be a bigger fool than me, HMRC are trying to get rid of staff and close offices.

it just couldnt possibly be that they are going to recruit them to do something about something some of you lot seemingly pin our £150bn deficit on! Just coudlnt be could it!

Why get rid of trained staff in the first place, just to recruit and train new ones? I cannot see the logic in that.

It will probably be the same people just re-employed on a much reduced salary.
