This subject has been discussed before I am sure, why is cctv pictures crap. How many crims have been released because of them or can't be prosecuted because the pictures are simply crap. Look at this link and ask why we in the UK don't have quality pictures like these or even half as good as these.

Keep right clicking on any one part of the picture and be amazed.

Cost/manpower to install/run/maintain the cameras versus the prosecution rate?
And the "Human Rights" outcry by "honest" citizens....

NO NO NO to CCTV, how will I be able to continue as a cat burglar? (I said BURGLAR ;)), and I don't fancy my mugshot being a 'BONG' during the opening credits of News at Ten.

The UK has images just as good as that.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13200114

But that, and your link, are not CCTV images.

They're a photo, or rather a number of photos.

How much storage space would be required to record 216 high resolution photos every half second or so?

I personally do not have the knowledge how it is done, but the point being it can be done.

And that's my point, it hasn't been done!

Your link isn't CCTV. It's a whole lot of photos joined together. They're not even taken at the same time.

Your quite correct they are photos not cctv as I stated. I now admit I was just hoping it was possible.

Perhaps a rhyming couplet about how you got it wrong is in order [lol]

Why don't we have known crimunals get an identity implant like they do with cats and dogs? That way if a known crim enters a store or bank then it would flag up an alert to security. Job done I say.
