Crew safe after vessel grounds
THE five-man crew of an Oban fishing boat were airlifted to safety early this morning after she ran aground on Stroma.
The crew of the Golden Promise had intended to take to a liferaft but it was decided because of the prevailing weather conditions, it would be safer to winch them aboard a rescue helicopter from Lossiemouth, which landed them there.
