THE Thurso woman whose house Scott Lindsay was attempting to peer in, at has asked me to clarify a couple of points.
Lindsay’s stated ‘history’ with the woman, was not detailed in court and, the woman says, gave the impression to her and some of her relatives and friends that there might have been some sort of romantic connection between them or that Lindsay might have been hoping to get drugs from her.
Neither, is the case. The woman says that there has never been any romantic involvement with Lindsay and that the history relates to previous occasions when he has charged for peeping in at her house. Lindsay stated at the time, that he had been trying to contact a friend to get a couple of joints of cannabis.
The woman said that, for the record, she does not, and has never has, taken drugs, or been a dealer.
As reported, Lindsay admitted behaving in a manner likely to cause fear or alarm by attempting to peer through a window of the woman's house, and was jailed for nine months.
