Some of you expressed the wish that I would do something similar about a Girl ...............well here goes :
Little girls are the nicest things that happen to people. They are born with a little bit of Angel-shine about them, and though it wears thin sometimes, there is always enough left to lasso your heart. Whether she be sitting in the mud making mud pies, crying temperamental tears or perhaps parading up and down the street in Mother's high heeled shoes, a little Girl can be sweeter, and bad, more often than anyone else.
She can shuffle and stamp and make funny noises that frazzle your nerves, yet just when you open your mouth to scold her, she will stand there demure, with that special look in her eyes. A Girl is innocence as she plays, beauty standing on her head, and motherhood dragging a Doll by the foot along the ground !
Girls come in four colours, black, white,yellow & brown, yet mother nature always manages to select your favourite colour when you place your order for one. They disprove the law of supply and demand for there are millions of little Girls, but each is as precious as any percious stone. God borrows from many creatures to make a little Girl. He uses the song of the bird, the squeal of the pig, the stubbornness of a mule, the antics of a monkey, the spryness of a grasshopper,the curiosity of a cat, the speed of a gazelle, the slyness of a fox, the softness of a kitten, and to top it all off.....THE MYSTERIOS MIND OF A WOMAN ! A little Girls likes new shoes, party dresses, small animals, the girl next door, Dolls, make believe,dancing lessons,ice-cream, make-up,
jugs of water, going visiting, parties,...and ONE Boy ! She's not all that fussy about visitors in general, other Boys, big Dogs, fire engines, boats or planes. She will always be her loudest when you are trying to think, the prettiest when she has provoked you,the busiest at bedtime, the quietest just when you want to show her off, the most flirtatious when she absolutely must not get the better of you again !
Is there anyone who can cause you more grief, joy, irritation, satisfaction, embarrassment,and genuine delight, than this combination of Eve, Salome, and Florence Nightingale ? ....She can mess up your home, your hair, and your dignity, spend your money,your time and your temper. Then just when your patience is about to crack, her sunshine peeks through and you've lost yet again. Yes, she is a nerve racking nuisance, a noisy bundle of mischief, but when all your dreams seem to tumble down and you see the mess the world is in, and you are ( it would seem ) pretty much a fool after all. She it is, who can make your day for when you give her a cuddle, she responds with "I love you best of all Mummy"
