Heidi the cross eyed opossum is often cited in some quarters as the standard against which worth may be measured.

Her fame as a pundit, even an oracle of our age has penetrated across the Atlantic and into the furthest flung corners of the New World. To her thousands of fans, banging their heads on their computer screens and chanting 'Heidi... Heidi ...Heidi...' in monotonous droning mantras she has clearly captured the zeitgeist of our times.

Who would have thought that a furry, a mere two years old, would acquire such significance to a thinking global audience?

Clearly she has something deep and profound to say - a message that is universal to all mankind.

I realize that you say such things in Jest, with big words that are sometimes 'ill placed', but my main thrust in Heidi is that we should not put all, or really any of our precious 'eggs' in a basket of perhaps Nothing. From Dutch Bulbs, Bre-X, and the Dot Com Era, these 'fads', for want of a better word (and I mean Facebook), have attracted people, who then fall off the end when it all collapses.
BTW...I am waiting for the Third Stooge to comment!

It is somewhat interesting to note that when I look for that loverlyyy animal all I can find is 75,000 hits, but the 'other guy/girl' has found over 100,000. I am so far behind. Gosh how did some of us ever make our way to success.

Anyway I shall 'be done' with it. It has been fun and sometimes fun ends up with a 'Mod Friend' (not mine), giving me a blistering and Demerit Points!

Orgers use e search facility? Come on, its far easier to keep starting new threads asking "When does e Tesco open?" than it is to search, or have a look at all the others! How many new threads did we get asking "Where has e recommendation section gone?" 6 or 7 if I recall (must go do a search to find out for sure.....)

As to amalgamation ... one has to be sensitive to the feelings of Heidi's followers at this time.

Firstly, I started a Thread on Heidi in Feb 2011, questioning the relevance of Facebook Support with at that time 'Heidi' having over 300,000 supporters, so I don't know who thought the above info up.. It was long before this one.
I have in the past brought up olde threads, and then I get called Troll troll etc etc for re activating such a thread, so this time I decided to just advise that Heidi had died/ perhaps a little tongue in cheek!
Now I read that I am being addressed again by J.L. directly referencing me to his ...skit.. and the Ryrie Street address in Australia. So be it...I am related to Sir Granville Ryrie.
I was attempting to show Facebook is not all it is made out to be... simples to moi... perhaps not so simple to this originator.

I shall now stop, as I know that J.L. goes crying to the Mods with thoughts of me ..Threatening him from 3000 miles away.. Quite intelligent I would say!
