Thieves get away with cash from post office

BUSINESSES in the Far North have been alerted by police following a theft from the post office in Castletown.
Two men distracted the cashier by asking her to exchange large denomination notes for smaller ones and while she was counting them, they snatched some money.
The robbery ocurred about 1pm Friday and police are appealing for information. One of the men, who are of Asian appearance, is in his early 20’s, about 5’5 in height, plump, with short dark hair and dark eyes, wearing a grey jumper and a grey jacket.
The other man is in his 50’s, 5’4 in height, with short dark hair and possibly a moustache. He was described as smartly dressed in a dark suit and jacket.
Both men spoke with an Asian accent and may have been using a dark coloured Skoda Octavia motor car.
Businesses are warned to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity, not to be distracted by customers and to take care in counting money handed over before placing it in the till.
