Chieftain Charles delights foreign visitors

PRINCE CHARLES paid his annual visit to the Mey Games on Saturday.
His party got a welcome befitting the chieftain, from the Caithness Scout Pipe Band, as the visitors transport swept round the games field to their usual tent.
The games, organised by the local branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland, are always a crowd-puller and this year's was no exception.
The Prince was accompanied by area MP John Thurso and his wife Marion, and Ashe Windham, chairman of the Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust.
Canisbay Primary School pupils, Cameron Clark and Megan Webster, presented posies to the prince before he took his seat.
His visit delighted tourists who watched the action. Prince Charles ended his break at the Castle of Mey, on Sunday.
