Brilliant stuff,i looked out around midnight and didnt see a thing, havent been looking at spaceweather much because of the light summer nights, got out of the habit.Used to check it every night.Better get back into it quickly.
Apparently reached KP8 which hasnt happened for quite a few years, somewhere around 2002/3.The sun is definately waking up now, bodes well for the winter, hopefully.
Thanks for the link; stunning pictures; well done!
Fabulous photos Astroman. It was after midnight I spotted it and was amazed as you dont expect it this time of year.
You could actually see the fluid movement of it twisting in the sky, I also saw 3 shooting stars.

Definitely worth keeping an eye on predictions at www.spaceweather.com
I look forward to more displays over the winter when hopefully I won't have to stay up so late.
