The very best of Luck to all receiving their exam results today...........and for those of you who got the early texts yesterday, I hope you got over the surprise and achieved the result you wanted. :D

It should be good ole hard graft and Studying, and very little luck involved!!
As for the results, what's wanted and what's deserved goes down to effort ;)

No doubt it will be a contested subject, but the following text, taken from here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/8183290.stm might suggest that not all agree that getting record high marks is down to hard work alone!


David Watt executive director of the Institute of Directors Scotland said: "One would hope educational standards are rising but international surveys suggest standards here are falling.
"It does indicate that if we want to raise the bar a bit higher exams need to be a bit tougher."
Welcoming the government's plan to scrap Standard Grades Mr Watt said: "I appreciate a pass can represent a great deal of effort by some pupils.
"But if over 99% pass maths, the exam doesn't have any credibility. It doesn't help them get a job."
