Youth coaching sessions are being held by Celtic FC coaches Sandy Mackay and Alistair Budge at Naver All Weather Pitch on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October 2006. (Cost is £10.80)

10am to 12 noon - 9 years to 14 years
1pm to 3pm - 5 years to 8 years.

I've just been up to Naver Pitch and the contractors are still working on the surface repairs and it looks as though the Celtic Coaching sessions on Saturday and Sunday may well have to be moved to another pitch in Thurso.

We are currently trying to secure an alternative pitch, junior training goals and changing facilities and details will be posted on Caithness.Org as soon as we get word back.

Training starts at 10am tomorrow. Could'nt it have been foreseen that the Naver pitch was not going to be ready? An alternative should of been discussed before now.:roll:

Celtic FC took the booking 12 weeks ago and were promised by the Highland Council that at least one half of the pitch would be available by Saturday.

We have been in contact with Celtic this evening who have confirmed that they have not been contacted by anyone from the HC to advise that the pitch would not be ready.

We are currently still trying to make alternative arrangements, which will be poted on Caithness.Org and at Naver Pitch first thing in the morning.

Naver Pitch is unavailable for todays coaching session and has been transferred to Thurso High School.

The contractors are hoping that the work to the pitch at Naver will be completed later today so may be ok for Sundays session. Further update later.

I did advise you that it would not have been ready as our 7's league had to be cancelled until Monday and we also had Naver booked for Sunday which was also cancelled.
