Best holiday ever

I am just back from the best holiday I have ever had - went to Croatia for 2 weeks and spent most of the first week with my pal learning to sail a yacht, then spent a week on flotilla sailing round the islands - magic! And we did not sink the boat! We were so proud of ourselves. I am never going back to lounging by the pool again.

What is the best holiday you ever had and why?

2000. A red Ford Mustang convertible . 4,500 miles from Denver , Colorado to Denver, Colorado via Utah/Arizona/New Mexico/California/Nevada/Idaho/Wyoming/Montana/South Dakota.
Three weeks, cheap gas,sunshine, top down 90mph cruising. Empty roads; big rigs. Enough said. The best because it was so different. The culmination of thirty years dreaming about it and seven days a week working for eight months to pay for it!

my best holiday ever starts this afternoon , i'm flying out to gran canaria on saturday for 2 weeks. its only my 2nd time abroad.
