For me the Org is painfully slow in the evenings, I am sure it must put a lot of people off from posting and visiting.
In the daytime it is a different story and is about the same speed as other sites. I dont know what the problem is, perhaps Niall can give us a reason for this!

This happens at this time of year, every year.

It's the gala photos on the front page. Ex-pats around the world are downloading all those pictures and the site understandably slows down.

This problem could be easily solved, and I've suggested the solution before, but they don't seem to want to improve things.
