Royal wedding and Chelsea Flower Show revisited
THE Royal wedding may have come and gone but local folk will have the chance to hear all about it from someone who was there.
Anne Dunnett was a guest at the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton, in Westminster Abbey, in her capacity as the Lord Lieutenant of Caithness and will give her personal recollections of the big occasion, in Mackay's Hotel, Wick, on Thursday, at 7.30.
Also participating will be local florist, Amanda Coghill, fresh from her silver success at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show. She will give a demonstration.
Tickets for the events, hosted by Wick and District Gardening Club, are priced £5 and are available by phoning Wick 602700. Proceeds will go to Caithness Chest and Heart Support Group and another local charity yet to be named.
