Coming back from Glasgow recently, I took the bus back to Thurso, I sat on the right hand side of the bus observing the coast all the way,
Somewhere along the way, and coming up a steep hill there was something which caught my eye, unfortunately, I do not now where exactly this was.
It looked like an old Mill, right at the bottom of some cliffs, a river/speedy burn ran to the left of the building and in front of the building there were more cliffs, one of which (to the right) looked as through it had been broken and leaned on its neighbour,

Anyone know where this place is, or what it is or was?

It was indeed! and thank you, as this has haunted me since my return.

Just found this on the org,

The village sits in a very sheltered place for this area. The Berriedale and Langwell waters meet at the end of a wooded valley where often deer can be seen. The village itself has one street. Old fishing houses line the shore. The beach is stony but sheltered by an outcrop of rock with the ruined medieval castle nearby. Two towers were built to assist ships at sea and are known as The Duke’s Candlesticks – after the Duke of Portland.

I always wondered what the towers were for, now I know!
