Hi guys
As you all know, myself and Anne Cormack are taking part in a Costa Rica jungletrek in November next year, to raise money for the SSPCA. This is a worthwhile cause, as the SSPCA don't receive any lottery or government funding, and need as much help as they can get, to help the animals in Scotland who are injured, abused or abandoned.
We are trying to arrange as many fundraising events as we can, and thought it would be a good idea to ask people in Caithness for suggestions. We would just like to know what kind of events everyone would be interested in attending. We are trying to arrange indoor car boot sales/table top sales during the winter months, as well as pub quiz nights and whist drives. Are these events that any of you would be interested in attending? We are also thinking about children's disco's if we can find a suitable venue, and possibly bingo nights or prize bingo if we can get enough prizes together.
Are there any other events that people would be interested in attending?
We also have ongoing competitions - "Guess The Dog's Birthday" - the prize is a beautiful German Shepherd cuddly toy, Hound for a Pound - you pay £1, and could end up with £100, a series of 4 quizzes including a wordsearch, anagrams, crossword and quiz - there is a prize for the winner of each quiz, and a bigger prize if you enter all 4 quizzes, and finally, we have a big raffle which will be drawn next year - tickets will be available in the next few weeks and there are big prizes to be won!
