Being able to sleep at night? I think so. Along with the equally restful night dwellers from the New Labour Party - I give you the gold-selling, pension-screwing one-eyed porage monster: Mr. Toad of the Treasury, the bubble-eyed Balls-up of Threadneedle Street: the murdering mendacious Bliar and his wide-mouthed frog-gorgon of a wife: New Wallace (as in Gromet) and his fratricidal nasal whine, and the whole ghastly parcel of social engineers out to utterly ruin anything resembling a just and equitable way of life.

At least Scotland has seen through the Red Flag, and its permanent quest for an Equality of Misery, and given it a massive swerve. Socialism always works until you run out of other peoples' money, as several great persons claim to have said.

Now all we've got to do is convince ourselves again that the UK is the best place to be on planet Earth: that by and large we enjoy the widest range of freedoms: that most poverty we have is comparative, rather than absolute, and that each day there are a thousand little miracles happening to keep our idiosyncratic society pleasantly cruising along.

Maybe it should all be put into perspective - not wishing to denigrate Scotland, but the Scottish elections were a minor side show.. OK so Alex ended up with some 876,421 votes, whilst on the other hand Dave had 10,703,754.. Why, London alone has a population of c7,556,900, which is 2,000,000 more than the population of the whole of Scotland.

Don't knock Dave. He's a caring, wonderful husband and father who was a really good son to his old father. And he's actually a Scot (his family comes from Huntly)- who has some relatives in Caithness.

If he has a problem its that he is a bit too sure he's right.

if you want to pick on someone- look to his right and see much less touchy feely Georgie Osborne and the totally odious Cleggover. Not to mention the ginger rodent.
