I know the highland council has their info on here..
but what about the rest of the clubs ....the welcome family centre, the PPP , Casper and treats etc to name a few...?
Is there anywhere to get the info on the holiday clubs easily (so to compare the activities and age limits easily) without annoying them all with multiple phone calls?
Sorry for asking but it seems a headache in finding out the info...
Especially as im sorta between Thurso and Wick....and the oldest will be in school after ther summer hols so I dont get the leaflets home from school yet!

Casper Club and Treats have now joined forces under the name of NOSCA (North of Scotland Childcare Association). Details of our up and coming summer holiday programme can be found shortly on our new website, and our newsletters will be going out to schools next week. We have lots of fun events planned this summer including the Gruffalo's big day out, swimming, horseriding, bettyhill swimming pool and beach tour and much more! This year for National Play day on 3rd August we will be joining forced with other groups in the area including the Ormlie Community Association, Wick Family Centre and MASSK to name a few, to have a Borgie Forest Bear Hunt.

any queries can be emailed to admin@nosca.org.uk

Sounds good; would love to give it a go! Is there an age limit? ;)

Wick Family centre will be running Making Waves Holiday club for the final three weeks of the summer holidays. The programme will be made available shortly and we will ensure it is available on org and on our facebook page. Available activites will include horse riding, karate sessions, trip to the beach, rush dance workshop, weekly swimming sessions amongst many other fun activities. As already mentioned by NOSCA the family centre are hoping to work with other centres to offer the children an even bigger fun filled summer programme.

Due to the loss of the centres After school club we will not be able to offer an adittional service for under fives this year as we had orignally hoped, but will have places available for children aged four upwards.

Please feel free to phone at any time 01955 606065

Anything going on in Thurso ?

The Treats holiday club is in Thurso.
Casper is in Castletown.
The highland council has stuff for school kids in Thurso on their holiday club ... the ages vary depending on the activity.
Dont know if the Ormlie lot has things on??
Havent heard anything about the PPP yet...their activity schedule looked good last year, but, for kids older than mine!
Im def interested in the Welcome family centre stuff as my girl really enjoyed the easter activities she could take part in.
Its just a pity that even if you get the leaflets/programs from the schools, you dont seem to get them for the activities in the whole county...ie the wick side only find out about the activities on the Wick side....and if you get the whole lot it might be easier to juggle kids activities/childcare and work, if you work on the Thurso side if you had the info on the Thurso side activites too!
It would be great to have all the info in one place too..
Hope this thread gets the info....any help for parents/kids trying to get activities and things to do in the hols is gratefully appreciated.
