1) Get in touch with David McKiddie at Barnies and tell him you are interested.
2) Offer to sweep floors, tidy up, be general dogsbody, for nothing if need be, to show you are really keen!
3) Arrange with your school or college to sit the SCET test cos I don't think you will get anywhere without it.
4) keep your nose clean at school and show how hard you can work cos, trust me, Davie isn't interested in layabouts with attitude.
5) See your careers adviser too. There's other good firms about like Altec who may take you on, as Barnies only take three or four apprentices each year.

You have probably missed out an apprenticeship this year though, although they may take you on as a labourer.
