We have starlings nesting in our roof there is four chicks we watch the mam going back and fore with food for them but this might sound stupid but how does the chicks get fluids just a thought and how long before they fly from there nest .

Hi Doreen,

The main source of dietary water intake for nestling birds is their food and starling chicks will fledge 19 to 22 days after hatching.
