Highland roads open but debris disruption

NORTHERN Constabulary are issuing further advice to people travelling in the Highlands as many routes are affected by falling debris as a result of the high winds the area is currently experiencing.
The A82 is particularly affected, with fallen branches and trees at various points, and is currently closed at Ballachulish one mile south of Glencoe. All other roads in the Highlands are are open at present, but many are experiencing disruption.
Police would like to encourage those travelling to make themselves aware of the latest forecast through www.metoffice.gov.uk (http://www.metoffice.gov.uk) and be aware that there is a risk of falling branches on tree lined roads.
Should a member of the public find debris on the road which is causing a hazard they are encouraged to call 0845 600 5703 to make Police aware.
