Barn and house history

I would be interested to know of any history of the little old house and barn at Stainland that was situated beside the power station outside Thurso on the A9. There is a new house there now but the barn still stands and a bit of history would be welcomed.

I would also be happy if someone would put me in the right direction to get information on this please.
