View Full Version : Is Scotland a safe place to live and do the police patrol in ones, twos, or threes?

Well - I do not have a view on it, but it seems to be a matter for some consideration, so here's a thread for it.

It does not apply down here. We have no police.

Well rumour says they exist but I never see any...

Caithness seems relatively safe, though I wouldn't want to be strolling about at chucking out time! But that applies wherever you go.......

Its perfectly safe to drive like a looney with no MOT, Tax or Insurance. You never see a copper.

Oh and don't indicate of course.

I routinely drive around Caithness so drunk out of my skull I can hardly see the road sometimes and the police never seem to bother.

Singularly all the time in the dodgier areas.....apart from when they're in threes.....

....or twos....

.....or posibly more than three if they're in a big van or going on a suprise visit to one of the areas where there's never any trouble.

Might use pushbikes occasionally, too. But they only ride them one at a time.

Unless they're forming a pyramid on the handlebars.

Yet to see one (or more) on roller skates, though.....or one of them daft Segway things....

I hope this answers your questions and can we close the thread, now, please. Before someone disagrees with me again.:Razz

If the Northern Constabulary policed the Highlands like Strathclyde police the Highland economy would come to a stand still, that's why Northern Constabulary have fortnightly purge once a year instead of having a purge once a week like police in the citys.

Egad, I think you're onto something there:Razz

But what about the really dodgy areas where they'd need three Plod? Could they use one of them three person tandems?

Are they still tandems if there's three?

Trandem? Tridem? Libdem? Trident?

Oooh, I'm getting confused. Time for my medication, nursey.

A sidecar is all they need and they can take turns to sit in it. and on the other side one for the machine guns etc for the the really naughty people.

To build a wall designed to separate is to show a lack of confidence.

I reckoned that no Police chase would be complete without some 'Dick Barton' style music.

So to accompany the new style sidecar-kitted Traffic mob.....
