Otters

I thought otters were one of the the shyest creatures but the pair in Thurso river are very obliging.....I've seen them twice this week already. One was chomping through a salmon this morning. :)

They're a bit like deer. Once you start spotting them you start seeing them much more frequently. Sometimes it helps to be an angler because you pick up on movement in or under the water much more readily.
If he was accessible and hadn't had too much I'd have stolen his lunch (done it before) and the otter's pretty swak at replacing it!
