Can anyone tell me the history behind Dunnet Head and the old buildings.

Other than the lighthouse buildings the other buildings mainly were from the WW2 camp which was there - know there was an RAF camp at Dunnet, do not know if there were other services there to keep a watch on the Pentland Firth and further into the North Sea and to defend our shores up here in the North.
A few years ago I met a lady who regaled me with her exploits they got up to during time spent as RAF hairdresser at Dunnet Head - she was extremely lucky to be billeted out with relations she had in the area.
