May 10th Tuesday, Keith and Neil have just left ( 4.45 ) and both are in good form.
We had a good old Caithness chat , it was lovely to meet two handsome Caithness men !
Safe journey boys,
Trinkie.
Day 3 - update
Another 95 miles cycled - taking in some fantastic scenery and lovely mild weather. Highlight of the day was being invited to have lunch and a blether with Trinkie on the way North. Hope I've got this right - they are now at Hereford.
Day 4 - update
That's Keith done 113miles today, they are now at Warrington. Weather was cloudy with some showers but mainly good.
It looks like it's very wet in the north. How are they coping ?
I wonder if they'll make Scotland tonight !
How exciting. I hope they get a good turn out at John O Groats , a Welcome Party is most important, wish I could be there.

Day 5 - update
Hard day today. Weather windy but dry, which knocked the stuffing out of Keith. Another 85 miles today, taking Keith as far as Kendal tonight. Hopefully back in Scotland tomorrow.

Thank you for update. :o)
Hope the weather improves for him.
It must be hard to keep motivated and moving in such awful weather!
I was a bit out with the wind direction in #2..
They've done around 590 miles? and got about 272 miles to go, so hopefully (weather permitting) they should do a 10 day trip, which is very good..
Day 7 - update
Keith now at Newtonmore after a good 110 mile cycle north from Edinburgh. Still on course to complete within the 10 days.
Saw the forecast.........................God I hope it's wrong or Keith will be WET!
Day 8 - update
Partly cold wet and miserable cycle to Golspie, another 95 miles today. Keith is hoping to complete the final leg of his journey to John O'Groats tomorrow. At the moment we think this may be somewhere between 6pm and 7.30pm - however we will update the site once we get a firmer time.

Thank you for all the updates. Keith has done very well keeping up good mileage despite the weather conditions.
Do you know if he is going to JoG via Wick? It would be nice if some folk went out to cheer him on the last leg of the journey.
Good luck,
Trinkie
Keith has done very well today (day 9) getting as far as he did. When he left this morning it looked to be a very wet and windy day, but it dried up even if it was still windy!! We're all looking forward to seeing him arrive at JOG.
Further update re. arrival at John O'Groats.
Keith is aiming to arrive back around 6pm.
Cheers - H
