The stuff in the recycling bins goes to a materials reprocessing facility in Grangemouth.

Thanks for that, it's just that I can't remember ever seeing a lorry going down the road with the stuff.

I saw a couple of artic 'bulker' trucks heading south through Wick last week. The re-cycled waste is off-loaded from the refuse lorry at the transfer station at Seater and then loaded on to trucks and taken away.

It does go to Seater in the first instance, they have a big shed there that the lorries tip it into, then it is bulked up into artics and driven south. If you go up to use the Recycling Centre at Seater you can see the shed with all the stuff in it.
