If you do then please either come along to the meeting at the Ormlie Centre in Thurso at 6.30pm on Sunday 8th May, or send me a PM, or email allotments@thurso.org.uk or call / text 07527053047
If you know any gardeners, or wannabe gardeners please let them know about it. We're trying to leaflet every house in Thurso, but that is a big job for a very small team.
There's also an article in todays Caithness Courier with details.

Bump to the top.
This is TONIGHT people!!!
Hope to see some of you there!
Good for you; nothing like fresh vegetables to enhance a meal! It is also a good way of making friends, helping each other out, having a laugh and getting good exercise!

For anyone interested in the Highland Councils attitude to allotments you could take a look at the policy adopted in December 2009 (http://www.highland.gov.uk/socialwork/healthimprovement/allotments/)
Another thing that could be brought in (something that was a big thing where I used to live) is the development of brownfield sites for cultivation. A shared earth policy. If someone has a bit of ground they don't use they can offer it available for people to use grow on. The gain for the landowner is a handful of carrots at harvest and a sense of satisfaction.
