Good evening - I would like to suggest a deeply searching discussion about the philanthropic concepts that could be undertaken by Lumbricus - the common earthworm. I am sure that there are many orgers who would love to delve into this hitherto uncharted region of psychic phenomenon.

Now, please. This is meant to be a serious discussion, ;-) Please exhibit some decorum.

As an ecology project one year I dug up earthworms in the conservation area north of Kingston. I volunteer to take part in this deep dark discussion.

There is a terrific range of earthworms - the largest are found in Australia and can reach some 3 metres in length, I think. Dr. Szin - perhaps you might be able to enlighten us in this matter?

I think that this is where someone is supposed to write "race you to the chat room." But it appears that Ricco's green light has gone out, so there won't be a chat room session just now.

Ragworms are the business. A 6 inch ragworm could take a 12 foot long earthworm any day.

Ah, you see, Highlander. Ragworms are equipped with a very nasty set of pincers in their mouths that go through flesh with ease. But they do make great bait, though.

So, how is everyone enjoying this more intellectual thread? Dull, innit!

I'll kill it tommorrow.
