Foreign Secretary William Hague "utterly condemns" the violence used by Syrian forces (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-13193105) against demonstrators as European countries call for "strong measures" to halt the crackdown.

This is the same type of language which the UK used against Mugabe in Zimbabwe
Why are we not pushing for a UN resolution against Assad, and sending in "covert ground forces" and helping rebels with body armour and communications equpment etc etc.

I forgot, Syrian oil is not wanted as much as Libyan oil

Whilst I agree the hypocrisy shown between the Lybian situation and those elsewhere is quite embarrasing, I think it would be naive to think we would send our forces in to any country unless it was to be to our benefit.

I agree, the hypocrisy shown by other nations to the plight of Syrian people is staggering.
Whilst NATO (North Africa Treaty Organisation ?) countries are falling over backwards to help the insurgents in Libya offering body armour, communication equpment, "covert" ground forces and bombing raids they can not even decide on the wording of a warning (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-13218556) to Assad.

So the Syrian ambassador has had his invitation for the wedding tomorrow withdrawn. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-13223428)

I am sure that President Assad is now quaking in his boots and is advising his troops to stop their genocide so that his ambassador can get his invitation back.

If you would like to take his place then contact Andrew "cash in brown envelope" Windsor asap

And still the carnage continues.

How many more people have to die before NATO offers the same amount of protection as it is offering the people of Libya.
