Hi.

Is anyone else having problems getting onto the internet from the Barrock exchange since yesterday (Monday)? My Sister is with AOL (not for much longer though!!) and she hasn't been able to get a connection. After phoning their help desk, all they would say was that they would check it out, but it could take another 48 hours to get back to her? [evil]

Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks,

Kcb.

My IP Profile dropped a week ago and my speed dropped too. I sent BT an email on Wednesday 13th. Someone in India phoned me on Thursday 14th and after discussing it with him he said it would all be fixed within 24 hours. Phoned them to day (India again) since nothing has happened. They did a line check and said there was something wrong and would flag it up for engineers to investigate. My experience of the Barrock exchange is not good. Roll on 3G

I'm on Barrock exchange and had no internet yesterday, but have been back up and running again since this morning. Has your sister tried restarting her modem?

I'm also on the Barrock exchange and had no connection Sunday or Monday, seems to be working today. Tried restarting the moden yesterday several times but it made no difference, we are with Talk Talk.

I'm in Wick and I had problems connecting around 18:00 on Sunday until around 06:00 on Tuesday. That includes using both BT test logins (bt_test@startup_domain and bt_test_user@a.1 in my case). From the looks of it the logins weren't even hitting my ISPs RADIUS server, so definitely a BT problem of some sort, tried to find out what exactly but neither me nor my ISP could get answer.

Anyone else in Thurso area having really slow broadband? It was fine yesterday but is painfully slow today. In fact just did a speed test and it didn't load the first 5 times, eventually this:

I know no local dial codes are listed, but could it be a problem with Edinburgh again?

I'm going to call my ISP if it doesn't get better, can't do anything.

Well when my connection came back up it did seem slow or rather unresponsive on slow things and slow on others:

No speedtest was below 5 meg.
latency was fine.
I thought maybe DNS but the speed of dig and nslookup queries was fine.

I think I might mention it to my ISP also.

Broadband at work is fine.
