Quartz Clock !!!

Now then.... about two years ago, we bought one of those black quartz mantle clocks from Tescos for the living room, It worked fine for about twelve months then started losing time, so replaced the battery. Dead accurate again for about 2 months then started losing time again, about 5 minutes a day. Thinking battery was not a fresh one bought new Duracells with expiry date 2018! Fine again for another month then again started losing time.

Thinking it may be a bit too warm for it on the mantle above the fire, moved it to another part of room, still losing time.

Now fed up with it so chucked it in the garage. Guess what? Started keeping accurate time again. So put it back in living room, only for it to lose time again. @*!!&?

It's now back in garage, keeping good time, any ideas whats wrong with clock/living room ?

Garage cold - living room warm.

Solution?

Break windows in living room. Switch off heating. Re-install clock.

Clock will now work.

And you'll save a fortune on heating.
