Hi All,
Caithness Horizons launched Wave North this weekend with a Party in the Precinct, loads of live music and a performance by Thurso Players, was quite the night!!
Wave North is a new festival for Caithness set against the backdrop of the O'Neill Cold Water Classic Surfing Competition in Thurso. We run from the 9th - 17th April and have a whole host of activities on offer! Our programme is available from Caithness Horizons or please add us on Facebook, http://www.facebook.com/wavenorth
For just a taster of what is on offer we have the fantastic Sketch making a return to Thurso to play a Ceilidh with a difference on Saturday night in Skinandis, tickets are available at Caithness Horizons.
On Friday evening Go Surf is happening, this starts with an outdoor film screening of new independant Scottish film Skeletons and leads onto The Comm, Newmarket, Top Joes where 9 showcase bands from the Highlands and Islands will be playing between the venues, culminating in two DJ sets in Skinandis. On Satuday during the day the Scottish Surfing Federation will be leading a beach day with games, outdoor swim, surfing lessons down on Thurso Beach.
It promises to be a fantastic week for all!!
