NOSCA would like to say a "BIG THANK YOU" to the DOUNREAY COMMUNITIES FUND for granting us an award of £875.00 towards the creation of the new interactive, user friendly website and marketing materials.
"In order to move towards sustainable social enterprise it is essential that the different elements of the services in each centre are well attended. This will in turn ensure job security for staff and a continued provision for children and their families. Effective marketing is therefore essential" (Rachel Cox, Company Manager 2011).
The NOSCA website aims provide up to date information about the company as a whole, its aims and objectives, each service available, evaluations of recent events and activities, introductions to staff, vacancies available, booking forms and registration forms on line in a secure network, and links to other websites. The website will raise community awareness of NOSCA existence and raise the public profile of the work we do, helping to drive us forward as a competitive organisation in today’s business market. This will ensure that parents and families in rural areas, those who may have communication difficulties, those parents and families in full time employment, younger parents who use the internet and outside agencies will have access to information about our services that can help to make a difference in their life.
NOSCA will be able to provide information about the childcare services offered by publishing a leaflet and ensuring that this is available to the public in all relevant services and businesses within the catchment areas of Caithness and Highland. NOSCA also strives to raise awareness of the importance of play for Highlands’s children and supports the Highland Council’s children and young people’s strategy document “for Highlands Children 3”.
NOSCA can now also provide information for parents and carers by publishing a parents information pack for parents with registered children that informs them on topics including policies, procedures, childcare fees, registration processes, services available, times of opening.
