I'm looking into places to stay in orkney in late july early august for a party of 4 plus a small child.
Checked through self catering and b+b options and what has really surprised me is that self catering for us is cheaper. Based on one of the middle ground prices we found for a weekend it would cost for one person between £60 to £80 for the b+b option. But for a week per person in a self catering accomadtion it would be £66!
Taking the fact that for the 2 nights in self catering would be cheaper per person than the £66.
Certainly doing your homework pays of!
