just been on the flybe site looking to travel down to edinburgh on a thursday and return on a saturday to find out that there are NO flights at all on a saturday and only one on a sunday for part of the year!! is this new? am pretty sure I could get a flight back on a saturday before, puts a bit of a spanner in the works timewise, an hour on a flight or 9 hours by bus !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and of course to return on a friday is a vastly expensive exercise, perhaps by NOT issuing ADS cards and pin numbers EVERY year the money could have been put into providing flights that WORK for people !!!! sigh

The Sunday flight has been there for a while.
There haven't been Saturday flights from Wick for quite a few years.

Flights, by any operator, are run pretty much by demand. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be the demand for Saturday flights.

how can there be no demand for saturday flights ? the bumph that came in with the card states clearly that the card cannot be used for business travel but on looking at the flybe website and timetable it shows monday to friday and the odd sunday flight, people dont just take holidays monday to friday do they ?

Feel a wee rant about rubbish links to the rest of the country coming on ....... sigh

Rant away!
I understand where your coming from on links / ads which in effect refer to everything south of Watford Gap.

The issue lies with us, the airplane using public. We need to convince the operators that we want flights on a Saturday. But the reality is that there is not enough people wanting flights to make it worthwhile.

In this day and age, we're convinced by marketing we will get what we want, when we want. The reality is: Unless we pay for it, it is no more available than it ever has been. We just don't understand that bit yet.
