"We wish you a Merry March Christmas"

Caithness Chest and Heart Support Group sat down to their Christmas dinner recently. No, they were not “crackers”!
The meal was originally planned for December but had to be cancelled because of stormy winter weather.
Members were reluctant to miss the annual occasion and set a date in March. Forty members and friends joined Sunday regulars at the St Clair Arms Hotel in Castletown, and enjoyed an excellent carvery meal...complete with crackers, of course.
Group vice-chairman, Noel Donaldson said: “It was the biggest turnout we have ever had for a festive lunch. It’s been a long winter and I think it was something for folk to look forward to.”
Could the March Christmas occasion become an annual affair?
Noel said: “I think it’s more likely that the date will be rescheduled and become an Easter lunch...but you never know."
