View Full Version : The latest scam in small specialty batteries

I have a digital device which uses those little "flat" batteries, in my case type CR2032. They used to last for "years" - at least one year as LCD displays consume very little power.

The last time, I kept the receipt dated January 30th, so I got only 32 days out of the pair of batteries.

I intend to complain, and buy replacements from a different store.

There is a chance that there is something wrong with my device - hopefully the change of suppliers will help me determine the facts - maybe old stock from current supplier (Canadian Tire). Hopefully, there will be more than one manufacturer in the market.

Anybody else noticed a deterioration in the performance of these small-but-expensive batteries?

I would certainly complain as these Batteries are so Expensive. The cost is way up there as they cost £1.65 for 10 Batteries Post Paid. If you take the postage off then 10 Batteries cost 99p. Slightly less than 10p each.

If you paid more than this then go to eBay :-

That's where I get mine for the car keys.

Normally last a year at least.
