Can anyone let me know whether - Lower Appiehouse, Sandwick, Orkney - Tearoom and Photo Gallery is any good?

Very good. Bit expensive though. Good views if the weather's right.

Thanks RIR. I'm doing a stopover in Orkney next month en route to Shetland and have one day set aside for a tour (self drive). I worked out that that place would work out about halfway round/lunch time, starting and finishing in Kirkwall. After a big hotel breakfast, not needing much (other than a cuppa) till evening.

I must mention your photos - I admire your talent and will return to look at the pics again.

was there a couple of weeks ago, service very poor, food quite expensive nice photos though. we won't be going back!
