Accused began to rant and rave at nursing staff

A THURSO man being treated, locally, by nurses began to “rant and rave” when told his wound was severe and he would have transfer to hospital in Wick.
Liam Henderson, of St John’s House, Thurso, admitted having behaved in a threatening or abusive manner at the town’s Dunbar Hospital, on December 28, last year.
Wick Sheriff Court was told, today, that he shouted and swore at the nursing staff, making it clear he had no intention of going through to Wick. The police were called, but Henderson, who was under the influence of drink, had left Dunbar Hospital, when they arrived.
The accused was traced, and said he was sorry and told officers he had a drink problem. Henderson added that he had returned to the hospital and apologised to the staff.
Henderson, 23, was granted bail and will be sentenced on March 14.
