Excellent shots, especially for first attempts. Great detail in that moon shot. There is a wee bit of over exposure there too though... (the moon shooting guru`s I`ve talked to say you should always under expose by a stop or two and then bring it back up in PP)

Tried a shot or two of the moon myself last night but I don`t think I got it as good as that.

Would you mind saying what equipment your using?

Great shots, especially for a first attempt.

The moon has lots of detail along the terminator and the different colours of the maria have come out well. I don't know how well your telescope mount tracks, but a 1-2 min exposure of the Orion Nebula could work out pretty good based on this photo which has pretty low noise levels. I look forward to seeing your next pics.

Fantastic photos. Having been inspired by the Stargazing Live series and not having a clue about my camera I have now signed up to a photography course. Been twice now and have learned an enormous amount about what all the buttons do. I was gob-smacked when I discovered that I could shoot 1/4000th of a second! All those photos of bees and stuff are now possible - woo hoo!

I think I have always had a bit of an eye for composition but was totally fazed by all the buttons. Maybe a StarGazer telescope next Chrimbo.
