Came across this poem about Caithness and thought I'd share it with you.
Caithness
A long time ago away to the North
the sea rolled away and there it gave birth
to the fair lands of Caithness for all to behold
wi' its burnies and lochs and it's rivers of gold.
Then came the people from far and near
the Vikings and the Sutherlands with
their cattle and deer they did set up
what we now know to be Caithness, dear Caithness
the land of the free.
So, come ye to Caithness for a welcome so fine
they've done it forever, they've done it sublime
lift up your glasses, hold them well high
here's a toast to dear Caithness
from Galway to Skye!
