The match of the night took place out in Lybster as both The Bayview1 and Camps2 looked for the win that would take them to the top of division one.
The defending champions Camps2 got off to a great start, winning the opening two frames. The third frame looked to be going the way of the Camps aswell, until an outrageous fluke clinched the frame for the Bayview side. This turned out to be the turning point in the match as the league leaders then went into a 3-2 lead. David Hendry of the Camps2 then levelled it at 3-3 thanks to some magnificent potting, But the luck was never on the side of the Camps lads as Bayview1 ran out deserved 7-4 winners.
The Francis Street Club remain in excellent form as they defeated The Sinclair Bay comfortably 8-3, with Martin Mcleod recording an 8-ball total clearance in his singles match. The FSC remain only two points behind Bayview1, and with only 7 games remaining in division one, its looking like a 2 horse race for the championship.
The other results in division one saw Blackstairs1 win 8-3 at home to Crown1, and Camps1 throw away a 4-0 lead to lose 6-5 against The Commercial.
Second division leaders Seaforth Club look to be cruising towards promotion with yet another impressive victory, a 9-2 win against Mountain Dew1.
Queens2 remain hot on the heels of the league leaders as they defeated Sasa's Cellar 8-3, with Michael Aitken rounding off the match with a fine clearance.
Crown2 are still looking for their first win of the season after losing out 8-3 to Mountain Dew2.
Next Monday see's the first leg of The Rockwater Shield semi-finals take place. The Francis Street Club are at home to The Seaforth Club and Bayview1 are at home to Camps2.
