Looking through the posts you would suspect the County is under siege but not from some foreign power but something much closer to home .It's the Highland Council and it elected members that are at the center for all the trouble .
1 Wick High School .
2 Classroom assistants cuts
3 Cut backs in services for the disabled and OAPs
4 Fortnightly collections of waste
5 Caithness Heat and Power Fiasco
6 Potholes that are costing motorists thousands
And thats just a few ,i knows there's much more that folk would like to speak about .
If we have all these groups fighting their corner, way dont these groups get together and show the Council that they too can play the numbers game and help each other, "one for all and all for one " approach ..Sign me up .

Well said
And Independence for Caithness and Sutherland.
The highlands is too big an area - local democracy and decision making are out the window. Viva the local uprising. Also I'm not in favour of party politics in this council.

. . like having a bigger pot of money to share out.

Maybe what is needed is a few squeaky wheels.

So, squeak (in both 'official' languages) !
